Prelude: The Healing Journey of Don Lynch

In the heart of Puerto Vallarta nestled amidst the rhythmic hum of the town and the scent of hand-crafted pizzas, Don Lynch weaves together two seemingly disparate callings: serving up soul-satisfying slices at Pappa Don’s Pizza and healing the energetic wounds of those who find their way to his door.

Don’s story is one of transformation, resilience, and a deep surrender to life’s mysteries. Sitting across from us, plates of artisanal pizza cooling between sips of water infused with subtle vibrational energies,

Don recounts the journey that led him here. “I used to be just another Midwestern guy,” he begins, his eyes steady but far off, as if glancing back at the fields of Iowa.

For years, Don managed a Pizza Hut in Clear Lake, consulted on crops for federal insurance, and helped launch small businesses. People often praised his ability to connect, to really see them, but to him, it was just how he was wired. Sensitivity, empathy—they weren’t gifts, just part of who he was.

That perspective shattered after Don’s move to Puerto Vallarta in 2000, where three near-death experiences in the ocean unraveled the life he once knew.

Late-night free-diving excursions turned perilous, with towering waves and deadly currents battering him against rock walls, forcing him to confront the fragility of existence.

“It wasn’t just my body that got crushed,” he says. “My ego, my identity—everything I thought I was—got pounded out of me. I had to let go of all of it to survive.” But survival was just the beginning.

Something extraordinary began to awaken within Don—a heightened sensitivity to energy, pain, and the human condition.

Sitting on a rooftop one evening, his body spontaneously released the trauma through deep, uncontrollable breaths. Shortly afterward, he discovered an ability to connect with others on an energetic level, sensing their pain, releasing their blockages, and restoring balance.

“That’s when my real work began,” Don says, leaning in. “People started showing up with their pains, their fears, their stuck energy—and somehow, I could help. I’m not a spiritual guy. I’m rooted in science, in the mechanics of subtle energy and frequency. But there’s no denying that something bigger is at play here.”

From healing cancer patients to guiding others through profound emotional and energetic shifts, Don’s journey has touched lives across the globe. And yet, he remains cautious about success, knowing that ego—the very thing he helps others shed—could block his gift if he let it take root.
